EPL: Joao Felix sees red on debut as Fulham floor Chelsea

Joao Felix’s debut for Chelsea ended in a nightmare following a second-half red card as the Blues continued their league’s poor run in a 2-1 shocking defeat to Fulham on Thursday night.
Thirty hours after joining Chelsea, Felix was surprisingly named in the starting line as under-fire manager Harry Potter is desperate to turn the bad situation around at Stamford Bridge.
Nemesis found Chelsea when Willian scored against his former club to put Fulham upfront in the 25th minute as the high momentum of the game continued until the end of the first half.
In the second half, Chelsea fought back almost instantly when defender Kalidou Koulibaly equalised for The Blues in the 47th minute. Goalkeeper Bernd Leno could only get hold of the ball when it had already crossed the goal line.
Just before the hour mark, Felix, on a six-month loan from Atletico Madrid, was handed the worst possible introduction to life in the Premier League when he was red-carded following an open-boots foul on Tete.
Chelsea’s woes were sealed in the 73rd minute when Carlos Vinicius scored his first league goal through a header to secure the victory for Fulham at Craven Cottage.
Fulham have now won all of their four matches in the league for the first time since April 1966. On the other hand, Chelsea have only managed to win one of their last nine league matches this season.
