Nigeria among most sceptical countries on 5G deployment: Report
Nigeria has been named among the countries most sceptical about using 5G.
Prolifics Testing, a UK-based technical service in a statement sent to Peoples Gazette, ranks Nigeria the 13th country with a monthly average of 6,850 dubious Internet queries about 5G.
The global analytical organisation said, “Classified and regroup consistently recurring Google searches by individuals on 5G such as ‘is 5G dangerous?’, ‘is 5G safe?’, ‘is 5G harmful?’, ‘does 5G pose health risks?’, and ‘does 5G cause/spread coronavirus (Covid-19)?’ as sceptical online searches about 5G.
“While the United States of America was first on the list with monthly 374,700 sceptical online searches, United Kingdom had monthly searches of 93,400, “questing various aspect of 5G.”
The U.S. monthly online queries, according to the report, are equivalent to 1,027 sceptical online searches per day.
“Australia (32,970), Canada (22,680), and Poland (20,510) are among the other countries in the world where there are more than 20,000 tentative online searches about 5G every month, respectively ranking third, fourth and fifth.
“Whilst also in Africa, there are 13,780 online searches a month by South Africans (eighth place) concerning the possible negative implications of 5G technology,” it stated.
It noted that in the 20th place was Denmark, where there is an average sceptical online searches by Danes relating to 5G each month.
Prolifics Testing assessed 155 countries across six continents and assessed individuals on sceptical searches about 5G research.
On Wednesday, the Gazette reported that Nigeria had the least affordable Internet in the world.
The country ranked 85th of the 85 indexed countries, just below Columbia and Honduras.
