Navy holds route march to boost combat readiness
The Nigerian Navy Forward Operating Base (FOB) FORMOSO, Brass Local Government Area (LGA), Bayelsa State, held its third-quarter route march on Saturday to boost fitness and combat readiness.
The exercise, conducted through Egweama communities in Brass, aimed to enhance physical endurance, promote healthy living, and maintain a physically fit force.
Speaking after the exercise, the Commanding Officer of FOB FORMOSO, Capt. Sunday Haruna, commended participants for sustaining the culture of physical fitness and combat readiness.
Haruna said the exercise was particularly significant following the recently concluded CNC Live Firing Exercise.
He emphasised the importance of maintaining the required level of fitness and operational preparedness among personnel.
The commanding officer charged participants to sustain regular physical exercise and take proper care of their health.
He said the successful conduct of the route march demonstrated FOB FORMOSO’s commitment to maintaining a healthy, resilient and combat-ready force.
