Abuja airport named best in Africa

The Airport Council International (ACI) has awarded the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja, its Airport Service Quality (ASQ) Award 2020, adjudged by their customers as the Best Airport by Size and Region.
In a statement, on Monday, in Abuja, Henrietta Yakubu, the spokesperson for the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), said the award represented FAAN’s commitment to continuously improving customer experience across all our airports.
She said NAIA was considered the best in Africa based on the size and region servicing between 5 to 15 million passengers per year in Africa.
“The recognition comes at a time when we are geared towards ensuring seamless airport facilitation with the opening of new terminals and upgrading of our current infrastructures across board.
“Despite a turbulent year plagued by COVID-19 induced financial struggles, the authority has endeavoured to prioritize customer satisfaction, while ensuring that health and safety remains topmost.
“FAAN MD/CEO Capt. Rabiu Yadudu, who accepted the award on behalf of the Authority, restated FAAN’s commitment to ensuring the safety, security and comfort of passengers at all airports across the country,” she said.
