Troops kill two bandits, recover arms in Kaduna: Official

The Defence Headquarters has announced the killing of two suspected bandits in Southern Kaduna.
Defence spokesman John Enenche said an unknown number of bandits escaped with gunshot wounds. Troops recovered assault rifles, live ammunition and motorcycles.
Violence in Southern Kaduna has worsened despite regular military campaigns in the area. Scores have been killed in Southern Kaduna this year alone. Both the military and the state government, however, insisted the bandits had been weakened.
