The insurgents blazed some military equipments after a gun duel with the troops, according to a witness.
“The troops sustained the fire fight and successfully neutralised 12 terrorists, with several others fleeing with gun shot wounds,” army said.
Bandits have continued to carry out attacks around Kachia despite its proximity to a military base and training centre.
