70-year-old man rapes 4, 7-year-olds in Adamawa

The police in Adamawa have arrested a 70-year-old father of three, Usman Ibrahim, for raping two children in his neighbourhood.
The survivors are aged four and seven.
Police spokesman, SP Sulaiman Nguroje, said in a release on Friday in Yola that Mr Ibrahim lured the minors into his room not far from their abode and had carnal knowledge of them. The children were on their way to class when he accosted them, the police said.
The suspect lives alone having separated from his family 10 years ago.
The survivors’ father reported the incident at the Jimeta police division after noticing that his kids went through unusual pains while trying to urinate.
Adamawa police commissioner Afolabi Babatola has directed operatives and f the family support unit is of the state CID to take over the investigation for diligent prosecution.
The police chief advised parents and guardians to be wary of those who get access to their children and wards and report suspicious persons in their vicinity.
