Banditry: SEMA delivers relief materials to victims in Adamawa

The Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA) has presented N1.6 million cash and other relief materials to victims of insurgency in the Dabna community of Hong Local Government Area.
Gunmen attacked the community on April 2, 2023, and three persons were killed.
Presenting the items, Suleiman Muhammad, executive secretary, ADSEMA, said Governor Ahmadu Fintiri approved the gesture following the agency’s assessment of the incident.
Mr Muhammad said that the state government was taking drastic measures to see that such an incident does not happen again.
He further said that the cash was for those whose car, motorcycle or trading materials were burned, as well as the families of those who lost their relatives.
Aliyu Yerima, council secretary, appreciated the state governor’s timely intervention.
He assured the community of the reasonable distribution of the items for those affected.
Simon Yakubu, district head of Dabna, thanked and appreciated the gesture.
Items presented included rice, maize, cement, zinc, nails, mats, salt, maggi seasoning cubes, soap and rubber buckets.
