Ukraine: Biden goofs, says Putin losing war in Iraq

In the latest gaffe, U.S. President Joe Biden says President Vladimir Putin is “losing the war in Iraq,” mistaking Ukraine for Iraq.
Asked if Mr Putin had been weakened by Wagner Group leader Yevgeny Prigozhin’s mutiny, Mr Biden said, “It’s hard to tell, but (Putin’s) clearly losing the war in Iraq, losing the war at home. And he has become a bit of a pariah around the world.”
Mr Biden made this statement on Wednesday as he left Washington for Chicago to deliver a speech on his government’s economic philosophy (Bidenomic).
Biden, 80, America’s oldest sitting president in history is seeking a second term that would see him be 82 if reelected.
His major challenger, ex-President Donald Trump, a Republican aspirant, is 77.
