Kebbi govt. pledges to prioritise workers welfare

The Head of Service (HoS) in Kebbi, Safiyanu Garba-Bena, has assured that the state government would continue prioritising workers’ welfare to raise their productivity.
The HoS told reporters on Friday in Birnin Kebbi that Governor Nasir Idris’s recent welfare package extended to workers was part of motivational tools for higher productivity.
Mr Garba-Bena added that the governor was determined to complete work on the new state secretariat complex to provide conducive and adequate office accommodation for civil servants.
The SSG lauded the governor for the gesture, saying that the Sallah largesse had helped the workers meet their families’ demands during the Eid-el-Kabir festival.
Mr Garba-Bena tasked the civil servants to reciprocate the gesture through hard work, dedication and patriotism.
He expressed happiness that most workers returned to work after the public holiday.
Mr Garba-Bena reminded the workers that they had a social contract with the state in which they promised to adhere to the rules and regulations of the service.
