Anthony Joshua knocks out Robert Helenius in seventh round

Former heavyweight champion, Anthony Joshua, once again put up an impressive performance by knocking out Robert Helenius in the seventh round at the London O’2 Arena on Saturday.
Helenius, the ‘Nordic Nightmare’, on short notice, stepped into the ring against Joshua, replacing Dillian Whyte, who was scheduled to fight Joshua but failed a doping test by the Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA).
Riding on his victory against Jermaine Franklin in April, Joshua delivered an impressive performance at the O’2 Arena, finishing Helenius in the seventh round with a heavy right punch.
It was Joshua’s 23rd career knockout and his first after he finished Kubrat Pulev in 2020. The victory is expected to boost his confidence as he looks forward to challenging Deontay Wilder.
With back-to-back victories, Joshua is gradually recovering from two devastating consecutive defeats he suffered to Oleksandr Usyk, losing his belts.
Excited by his victory, Joshua said in the ring after the fight, “I’ll see you [the fans] again soon, hopefully, two more times this year. I need to stay busy. My back’s gone…I’m carrying this heavyweight division to the top.”
