Nigerian Afrobeats singer, Davido, has extended his heartfelt condolences to his colleague, Wizkid, in light of the loss of his mother.

Jane Dolapo Balogun passed away early on Friday, with the confirmation coming from Wizkid’s manager, Sunday Are.

“Yes, she passed away this morning, around 1:30 a.m.,” confirmed Mr Are.

Davido, the artist behind “Unavailable,” has moved to dispel any perceived discord between himself and his fellow superstar singer.

He took to his social media platforms to express his condolences to Wizkid.

“Praying for you, my brother @wizkidayo. Sadness takes flight on the wings of time,” wrote Davido, who has also experienced the loss of his mother.

Similarly, Wizkid extended his support to Davido during a period of grief, when Davido’s son, Ifeanyi Adeleke, passed on last October.
