Benue: Governor Alia appoints new auditor general

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue has approved the appointment of Emmanuel Aboh as the new Auditor General of the State.
In a statement by his media aide Tersoo Kula in Makurdi on Friday, the governor said the appointment takes immediate effect.
Before his appointment, Mr Aboh was the audit director in the office of the state auditor-general since 2015.
The governor directed that all files and documents belonging to the office should be handed over to the new auditor.
Mr Aboh holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting, a Masters in Business Administration and a Master of Science in Development Studies.
He is a member of the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN), an associate member of the Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ITN), and a member of the Institute of Development Administration of Nigeria.
