Kaduna: NURTW chairman Tanimu-Zaria reelected

The National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in Kaduna has reelected Aliyu Tanimu-Zaria as chairman for a second term of four years.
The new chairman was reelected on Thursday following a unanimous decision by union members while the swearing-in ceremony took place at NURTW Luxury Hotel in Kaduna.
This development followed the union’s quadrennial delegates’ conference and election.
NURTW’s legal officer, Samson Udaga, who administered the oath of office, charged the newly elected officials to uphold the transport union’s constitution in piloting its affairs.
“We expect nothing short of dedication and integrity,” he said.
In his acceptance speech, Mr Tanimu-Zaria commended NURTW members for trusting and supporting him.
“I am deeply honoured by the confidence you have placed in me. I promise to carry everyone along and not disappoint you,” said Mr Tanimu-Zaria.
