The Federal Road Safety Corps, Osun Command, says 1,225 officers, including special marshals and regular officers, will be deployed for Christmas celebrations to ensure safety of lives on highways.

The Sector Commander, Henry Benamaisia, who disclosed this to journalists, said 24 routes across the state prone to accidents were identified by the command.

Mr Benamaisia added that 25 flashpoints and eight black spots were also mapped out to ensure thorough safety compliance by motorists to avoid any accident.

He advised road users to imbibe defensive driving techniques that would go a long way in preventing any accident.

According to him, the command will continue to intensify the sensitisation campaign against dangerous driving in the state, especially during the festive periods.
