Nigeria’s top politician, Jimi Agbaje, loses son in Canada
One of Nigeria’s top politicians and erstwhile governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Jimi Agbaje, has lost his first son, Bunmi.
Mr Bunmi was said to have died from cardiac arrest in Canada.
A source close to the family confirmed the sad news on Tuesday.
Peoples Gazette could not reach Mr Agbaje for a prompt reaction.
However, no official statement has been released by the family.
Mr Agbaje, a two-time governorship candidate of the PDP in Lagos state, had contested the seat in 2014 but lost to ex-Governor Akinwunmi Ambode.
In 2018, he also contested under the same opposition party but lost the governorship poll to the incumbent governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
