The Nigeria Labour Congress has reiterated continuation of its ongoing nationwide indefinite strike until its organs meet for a decision on June 4, 2024.

The NLC strike stated, “Until we hear from our organs at our meeting scheduled for today 4th June, we are still on strike.”

The union made this announcement on Tuesday on its X handle after meeting with the delegation of federal government over minimum wage negotiation.

The NLC and its affiliate union’s strike on Monday paralysed public institutions, schools, banks, hospitals and disrupted commercial activities across the country over the federal government’s failure to meet their minimum wage demand.

As a result of the Monday strike, the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage met on Monday to reach an agreement on minimum wage.
