Gov Yusuf condoles victims of bandit attack in Kano

Mr Yusuf assured residents that the state government was intensifying efforts to strengthen security through collaboration with relevant security agencies.

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has condoled with victims of a bandit attack in Chiromawa, Garun Malam Local Government Area of the state, assuring residents of continued protection of lives and property.

In a statement on Saturday, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the governor’s spokesman, said Mr Yusuf also visited residents who sustained injuries.

“The governor, who was in Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah when the attack occurred, prayed for the peaceful repose of the deceased and wished the injured a speedy recovery,” he said.

The governor also prayed to God to prevent a recurrence of such incidents in Chiromawa and other parts of the state.

Mr Yusuf assured residents that the state government was intensifying efforts to strengthen security through collaboration with relevant security agencies.

The governor further discussed measures to improve security operations in Kano with the Minister of Defence (State), Muhammad Bello Matawalle.

He urged residents to remain vigilant and provide credible information about suspicious movements and activities to security agencies.

Speaking on behalf of those affected, the Sarkin Noma of Kano State, Yusuf Nadabo, thanked the governor for his concern and support.

He prayed for lasting peace and security in the state and Nigeria.
