Video captures EFCC’s midnight raid of Ondo hangouts, customers’ molestation

A video has captured the midnight invasion of two club houses in Agbalaka area in Akure, Ondo State, by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Saturday.
Giving an update of the invasion by the EFCC operatives, an X user, @YemieFash shared videos, showing the naked buttocks of a woman already turned red resulting from several wipes.
Captioning the videos, he wrote, “Hello @officialEFCC, this is what your rogue officers did to innocent ladies at a club in Akure, last night. They also took away their phones after this dehumanisation. I am sharing this for the whole world to see how irresponsible and unprofessional your agency can be.”
The X user had earlier narrated to Peoples Gazette, how the operatives, most of whom wore masks, raided Signature Lounge and Charles Royal Hotel, both located in the Agbalaka area of the state capital, to arrest customers they suspected to be internet fraudsters.
According to him, the operatives of the anti-graft agency were said to have fired tear-gas canisters, beat up, injured and randomly arrested customers, seized phones belonging to female customers, destroyed CCTV cameras, stole cars and other property.
He said, “Last night, people were in the club and all of a sudden, we saw masked men with guns enter into the club, started beating everybody they saw, asking people to lie down.
“They got into the main hotel and customers were tear gassed. A hotel accommodating over 300 people tear gassed them, beat many of them, they went to the CCTV, damaged it and went with the box. They asked the girls in the place to submit their phones. They collected the phones and took them away. They arrested over 100 people, took them away with some of their cars” he stated.
