After uncovering 110 ghost civil servants, Gov. Zulum reshuffles cabinet

The Commissioner for Animal Resources and Fisheries Development, Juliana Bitrus, was moved to the Ministry of Health and Human Services.

Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno has effected a cabinet reshuffle, redeploying three commissioners following the state’s uncovering of over 100 fake health workers and ghost civil servants.

This is contained in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Danjuma Ali, on Tuesday in Maiduguri.

Mr Ali said the Commissioner for Animal Resources and Fisheries Development, Juliana Bitrus, was moved to the Ministry of Health and Human Services.

The Commissioner for Environment, Lawan Walama, was redeployed to the Ministry of Animal Resources and Fisheries Development.

The statement also disclosed that the Commissioner for Justice, Kaka-Shehu Lawan, would oversee the Ministry of Environment.

Meanwhile, Mr Zulum has approved the reconstitution of the board of the Borno Primary Health Care Development Agency with Ahmed Tijani as the chairman.

Mr Ali said the governor also approved Joseph Jatau as chairman of the Borno Hospital Management Board with immediate effect.

The governor appointed Abubakar Suleiman as acting General Manager of Borno Environmental Protection Agency (BOSEPA).

In the same vein, he said, in accordance with section nine (9) sub-section one (1) of Borno Primary Health Care Development Agency Law, 2013, the statement revealed that the governor approved the appointment of Abba Goni as Executive Director State Primary Health Care Development Agency.
