Gov. Radda appoints MD, directors for Katsina’s microfinance bank

Katsina State governor, Dikko Radda, has approved the appointment of Malam Zubair Umar as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the state-owned Amana Microfinance Bank.
This is contained in a statement by the state Commissioner for Information and Home Affairs, Dr. Bala Salisu-Zango, on Wednesday in Katsina.
The governor also approved the appointment of Malam Muttaka Badaru as the Chairman of the Board of the bank, alongside five others as directors.
The directors are: Malik Anas, Dr Bello Muhammad, Dr. Badiyya Hassan-Mashi, Dr Muhammad Bashir-Usman and Malam Lawal Mukhtar.
Mr Radda congratulated the appointees, enjoining them to display their expertise and wealth of experience in the discharge of their duties diligently for the bank to perform efficiently.
Recall that the bank was re-capitalised by Mr Radda’s administration with an additional N800 million to augment the existing N200 million to meet the minimum capital requirement of N1 billion for state-owned microfinance banks to operate.
