Nigerian striker, Victor Osimhen, on Saturday celebrated his first goal for Napoli with #EndSARS.

Upon scoring his first goal for the Italian side on Saturday, Osimhen displayed a white jersey with an inscription, “End Police Brutality in Nigeria”.

Osimhen’s 43rd minute strike sealed Napoli’s 4-1 victory over Atalanta at the Stadio Sao Paolo.

“The only way I felt I could lend my voice and it will be heard,” Osimhen said on Twitter.

Other footballers who have spoken in support of the #EndSARS protest include Mesut Ozil of Arsenal and former Manchester United defender, Rio Ferdinand.

For over a week now, young Nigerians have been on the streets across the country demanding that the government tackle police brutality perpetrated by the defund police Special Anti-Robbery Squad.
