Tunde Kelani’s Ayinla, Seun Oloketuyi’s Lockdown premiere today

Both highly anticipated movies will premier on Sunday.

Highly anticipated movies, ‘Ayinla’ and ‘Lockdown Heat’ will premiere on Sunday, June 13, 2021.

Both movies are the joint efforts between Nigeria Film makers Tunde Kelani, Jade Osiberu, Samuel Olatunji, and Seun Oloketuyi.

Mr Kelani, who directed Ayinla said, via his Instagram page, the movie was inspired by the life of Ayinla Omowura.

“The film #AYINLA is not a biopic, it is in fact a story inspired by the life of the Apala music legend, Ayinla Omowura. The story, which is over three years in the making is one that I am extremely proud of, and I am glad you all will get to see it in cinemas nationwide from June 18.”

Shot in Abeokuta Ayinla stars actor Adedimeji Lateef in the lead role while Omawumi Dada, Bimbo Manuel, Kunle Afolayan, Debo Macaroni, Ade Laoye and many others featured in the movie. The movie was co-produced by Jade Osiberu’s Greoh Studios

Osiberu and Oloketuyi, who serve as producers for Ayinla and Lockdown Heat respectively, confirmed that invited guests will see the films, which were directed by Kelani and Olatunji, respectively.

“Lockdown Heat” follows the story of two, young, attractive neighbours of opposite sexes who find themselves embroiled in a shotgun romance as a result of the COVID-19 inspired lockdown.

Directed by Samuel Olatunji, Lockdown Heat stars actors like Efa Iwara, Mary Lazarus, Omowunmi Dada, Bolanle Ninalowo, Debo Macaroni, Ada Ukoh and Gbenga Adeyinka.
