The police command in Bauchi State has arrested two suspected armed robbers and recovered a stolen motorcycle, among other items, from their victims in the Bauchi metropolis.

In a statement on Sunday, Nafiu Habib, the command’s spokesman, said the suspects invaded a house with machetes on Friday at about 3:00 a.m., in the Rafin Makaranta area.

He stated the suspects attacked and macheted the victim on the head and robbed him and his friend, residents of the Makera area, Bauchi, of valuable items.

The items included a Haojue Motorcycle, unregistered mobile phones– Samsung S32 and Vivo 5Q, bluetooth devices, power banks, an MP3 player, perfume and a cash sum of ₦45,000.00.

Mr Habib said a patrol team attached to ‘C’ Division, Bauchi, swiftly swung into action and immediately commenced trailing the culprits.

“Consequently, on the 7th November, 2026, two suspects were arrested in connection with the case,” he said.

The arrested suspects are Uzairu Rabiu, a.k.a. Gwano, of the Zawiyya area, and Hafizu Abdullahi, a.k.a. Tora, of Gubi Village, Bauchi

He said the stolen Haojue motorcycle, two mobile phones, and a Bluetooth device were recovered from the suspects.

“Meanwhile, the victim is currently receiving treatment at the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital (ATBUTH), Bauchi, and his condition is steadily improving,” Mr Habib said.

The police said efforts were being intensified to arrest the third suspect, who remains at large, and recover the remaining stolen items.
