Donald Trump takes shift at McDonald’s after Kamala Harris falsely claimed working at top fast-food chain in college

In the run-up to the November 5 U.S. presidential election, former President Donald Trump made a surprise appearance at a McDonald’s in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, on Sunday to work for a few minutes.

This came as part of his campaign efforts leading up to the 2024 presidential election, a move aimed at countering Vice President Kamala Harris’s past employment at a McDonald’s during her college years.

Donning an apron, footage of Mr Trump serving customers as he wooed them went viral on social media on Sunday.

At the fast-food outlet, Mr Trump took on different roles, operating the fry cooker and handing out orders in the drive-thru.

A customer Mr Trump served could be heard saying, “Please don’t let the United States become Brazil,” while Mr Trump responded, “We’re gonna make it better than ever.”

Ms Harris had, in her campaign ads, made references to her experience as a worker at McDonald’s in a bid to appeal to voters.

Mr Trump, who had dismissed Ms Harris’s McDonald’s experience as a lie because it was not included on her official resume, said, “I’ve now worked for 15 minutes more than Kamala. She never worked here”

Mr Trump’s visit was timed ahead of a town hall event scheduled later on Sunday in Lancaster, and he is also expected to attend the Pittsburgh Steelers game against the New York Jets that evening.
