Forum lauds Tinubu for appointing former Kano speaker as minister

The forum of the former members of the Kano State House of Assembly has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Yusuf Ata, a former speaker of the assembly, as a minister.
The former legislators described the appointment as ‘a strategic effort to bring grassroots politicians into the administration, ultimately benefiting the poor.’
Dahiru Zarewa, who spoke in Kano on Sunday on behalf of the forum, also praised the appointment as ‘a well-timed decision to realign the state’s political structure, ensuring equal representation across regions.’
Mr Zarewa said Mr Ata’s background as a grassroots politician and as a former has never abandoned his constituency, making him an ideal choice.
He said Ata’s pedigree and exposure in grassroots politics would propel him to render good service to the nation as a member of the federal executive council.
Mr Zarewa also said that the appointment was significant, considering Mr Ata’s past records as a member of the 8th Kano State House of Assembly, representing Fagge Constituency.
According to him, the appointment is expected to bring valuable insights and representation to the administration.
