An Area Court sitting at Centre-Igboro in Ilorin, Kwara State, on Friday struck out a divorce case, following both parties’ agreement to settle out of court.

The judge, Idris Etsu, made the decision after the couple reported that they had settled their misunderstanding out of court.

Suleiman Zainab of Otte in the Asa Local Government Area of Kwara State had sometime in August filed for divorce, custody and maintenance of the four children from the marriage.

The respondent, Alarape Lamidi, told the court that he was still interested in the marriage.

He then asked the court to grant him and the wife sometime to enable the family to mediate between them.

The couple therefore told the court that the issue had been settled amicably and they decided to continue with the marriage.
