Minister calls for collective efforts to drive change in Nigeria

Minister of Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim, has called on women and youths to redefine Nigeria’s trajectory through innovation, creativity, and passion.

The call was made at the Future Planters Young Women Leadership & Entrepreneurship conference in Abuja on Tuesday, where Ms Sulaiman-Ibrahim emphasised the importance of collective efforts in driving transformative change.

The minister noted that Nigeria’s future hinged on the potential of women and youths and urged them to seize the moment and shape a sustainable world.

She reiterated government support for women and youths, emphasising the need for empowerment and sustainable programmes and activities.

Other speakers at the conference included Managing Director of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Olubunmi Kuku, who stressed the need for women to be innovative and contribute to Nigeria’s transformation and sustainable development.

The CEO of Community Initiative for Character Moulding and Entrepreneurship Development, Kefas Elisha-Tigga, emphasised the importance of exploring innovative solutions towards a sustainable future.

The conference also featured panel discussions, the unveiling and launching of the African Sapphire Magazine, and a product exhibition.

Other notable speakers included Amina Omeri, CEO of Timbuktu Service Limited, and Hajara Mohammed, Lecturer at Nasarawa State University, Keffi.

Ms Sulaiman-Ibrahim’s call to action is particularly significant, given her own background.
