Italy and Wales both qualified for round of 16 of the ongoing Euro2020 competition, while Turkey  have crashed out on Sunday.

Italy won all group stage games, garnering the maximum nine points to top the table in group A.

With one win and a draw, Wales came second with 4 points, edging out Switzerland on goal differences.

Switzerland will now wait for outcomes from other group results to know if their four points garnered can see them through to the next round as one of the “best losers”.

Turkey came last in group A with one point from drawing just one game and losing the remaining two games.

The Italians look good for the trophy with a record of 30 straight games without defeat, 32 goals and 11 consecutive clean sheets.

Editor’s note: This story has been corrected to reflect Switzerland’s current standing at the Euros as against the initial report deeming them out of the competition.
