The Federal Road Safety Corps RS8.3 Kogi State Sector Command on Friday decorated 11 newly promoted officers and 22 marshals, urging them to increase their efforts in saving the lives of accident victims.

The state Sector Commander, Samuel Oyedeji, congratulated the officers and marshals on their promotion during the ceremony held in Lokoja.

He was represented by DCC Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA), DCC S.A. Ogundayo.

Mr Ogundayo reminded the newly promoted personnel of their increased responsibilities with their new ranks in the Corps.

He stressed the importance of dedication and commitment to their duties, noting, “The higher the rank, the greater the responsibility.”

He emphasised the core function of the corps, saying, “Remember, the main goal of the corps is to save the lives of Nigerians travelling on our highways across the country.”

The event was attended by senior officers, representatives from other security agencies, family members of the newly promoted officers, as well as officers and men of the corps.
