LG chairman bans indiscriminate placement of banners, posters at Badagry roundabout

Babatunde Hunpe, the chairman of the Badagry Local Government Area of Lagos State, has issued an order restricting the placement of flex banners, posters, and similar advertising materials at the Badagry international roundabout.
Mr Hunpe, in an interview on Friday in Lagos, said the measure was part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to decongest and reorganise the roundabout.
“This will also improve visibility for motorists, prevent obstruction of traffic signs and maintain the aesthetic and structural integrity of one of Badagry’s busiest gateway corridors,” he said.
The chairman advised individuals, groups and organisations to seek appropriate approval from the local government before erecting any banner or signage within the roundabout axis.
“Materials placed in violation of this order will be removed by enforcement teams, and violators may face sanctions.
“The local government appreciates the cooperation of residents, traders and stakeholders in keeping the Badagry international roundabout safe, orderly, and presentable,” Mr Hunpe said.
