Man, 36, arraigned over alleged housebreaking, stealing

A 36-year-old man, Sakiru Tijani, on Thursday appeared before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, Oyo State, for alleged housebreaking and stealing.
Tijani, whose address was not provided, is charged with conspiracy, housebreaking and stealing, to which he pleaded not guilty.
The prosecutor, Inspector Iyabo Oladoyin, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on Dec. 2, at noon at Obokun Market, Eleyele, Ibadan.
Oladoyin said that the defendant broke into the premises of Beaux Foods and Agribusiness Company and stole three compressors, a blast machine, copper pipe wires and other valuables, all worth N3.1 million.
She said that the offences contravened Sections 516, 413 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Adebola Adeola, granted the defendant bail in the sum of N1.5 million with two sureties in like sum.
Adeola adjourned the case until February 3, 2025, for hearing.
