Institute of Environmental Practitioners of Nigeria (IEPN) has announced that its membership and practitioner certification portal is open following the establishment of the institute under the Institute of Environmental Practitioners of Nigeria (Establishment) Act, 2023.

The Nigerian Environmental Society (NES) disclosed this in a notice by its spokesman, Akon Uno, on Tuesday, calling for applications from environmental professionals.

The notice stated that the IEPN was created to “regulate, standardise, and advance environmental practice in Nigeria through professional certification, licensing, and continuous professional development”.

Environmental professionals, consultants, graduates, and students are eligible to apply.

To qualify, applicants must be members of the society, have an NES recommendation, register on the IEPN portal, submit all academic and professional credentials, and complete any prescribed assessment, according to the notice.
