The Senior Pastor of Streams of Joy International, Jerry Eze, has urged Christians to have faith in God, especially during difficult times.

Mr Eze made the call during his sermon at the church service on Sunday in Abuja.

He explained that having faith does not mean Christians were oblivious to the challenges around them, but rather that they have the conviction that God would always grant them deliverance.

He said they must ensure that their spiritual strength surpasses their challenges by engaging in fervent prayers, meditations, and other spiritual activities.

He stated “Keep your eyes at the end result, your faith must rise higher than how you are feeling. Don’t let the issue keep you where you are. Don’t stay around people that have opinions that God is not mighty or else, they would weaken your faith.’’

According to him, Christians should depend on God for their breakthroughs and leverage heavenly resources through the ministry of angels instead of relying on men.

The cleric stated that faith was built through positive confessions using the word of God, urging Christians not to be faint-hearted during difficult times, but to speak the word over their situations.

He expressed concern that some Christians have become accustomed to their challenges that they allowed them to become part of their lives, noting that doing so was wrong.

“Do not be a generation that loves its chains of challenges. Send your angels on errands to handle these situations,” he said.
