Nasarawa speaker tasks women on national development

The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Danladi Jatau, has called on Nigerian women to continue to contribute positively to the development of the country.
Mr Jatau, who represents Kokona West constituency, made the call at the annual convention of Eggon Cultural and Development Association (ECDA), Women Wing, on Sunday in Nassarawa Eggon LGA.
The convention has the theme “Celebrating 25 Years of Community Service of Eggon Kyenkyen Primary School, Nassarawa Eggon”.

“I urge you to continue to promote your culture in the interest of peace and unity,” he said.
The speaker also urged other citizens of the state to continue to show love and live in unity and peace for the overall development of the state.
He enjoined them to continue to pray and support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
Mr Jatau later donated the sum of N1 million as part of his support for the development of the association and the school.
Earlier, Rose Attah, the president of ECDA Women Wing, said that the event was organised to promote unity and peace among members of the association.
She said it was also to celebrate 25 years of Eggon Kyenkyen Primary School, Nassarawa Eggon as well as to raise funds for the development of the school.
