Plateau Attacks: Atiku knocks Tinubu over ‘failed’ security architecture, says most killings unreported

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed displeasure at the unabated killings across the country under the administration of President Bola Tinubu.
Mr Atiku said the effect of the president’s poor handling of security in the country is becoming a normal occurrence, most of which no longer make the news.
“The failure of Bola Tinubu’s security architecture has now become an endemic nationwide phenomenon with repeated killings, more of which do not even make the headlines,” Mr Atiku tweeted on Friday.
Mr Atiku said this after the chairman of the Bokkos Cultural Development Council in Plateau State, Vanguard Fuddang, on Thursday, confirmed that terrorists attacked five villages and killed 20 people in one week.
“Nigerians are now being forced to get used to such news of wanton killings, and I again offer my condolences to the bereaved communities of Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State and the affected families,” the former vice president said.
Mr Abubakar urged the Tinubu administration to reconfigure the security architecture to meet the needs of protecting the lives and properties of Nigerians.
