Ms Akpu was elected as the financial secretary, Conrad Anidiobi as the treasurer, and Ejike Okpe as the director of information.

Performing the swearing-in ceremony, Justice George Nnamani of the Enugu High Court urged the new executive to carry out their duties in line with the rules and regulations of the association.

While congratulating the executives, Mr Nnamani, who is also a member, urged them to intensify the promotion of reading culture in institutions and among the youths.

In her acceptance speech, the new chairperson, who has authored over 10 books and many journals, promised to work together as a team to take ANA to a higher level.
