Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has been awarded the prestigious title of ‘Governor of the Year in Infrastructure Development,’ at the 15th African Achievers Award, held at the historic Westminster Palace, House of Lords, London, United Kingdom.
The award, presented by the Deputy Mayor of London, Mete Coban, recognised Mr Yusuf’s transformative projects aimed at modernising Kano State through large-scale road construction, urban renewal programs, and the rehabilitation of critical public facilities.
This is contained in a statement by the Director-General, Media and Publicity, Government House, Sanusi Bature, in Kano on Saturday.
Representing Mr Yusuf at the ceremony were the Special Adviser on State Affairs, Usman Bala and Mr Bature.
Mr Bala was quoted as expressing deep appreciation on behalf of the governor, saying that the honour reflected Mr Yusuf’s commitment to delivering inclusive development.
