Afghan police burst criminal gang, recover 100 stolen cars
Afghan police have dismantled an eleven-member gang of thieves and recovered more than 100 stolen vehicles, the Ministry of Interior Affairs had announced.
According to the statement, the gang was dismantled during a 10-day military operation by police on the outskirts of Kabul, and in the provinces of Balkh, Nangarhar, Laghman, and Herat.
The ministry said that the arrested individuals confessed to committing armed robberies and theft.
As part of its efforts to ensure peace, the Afghan interim government vowed to crack down on criminals in the war-ravaged country.
