Governor Oyebanji sacks commissioners, special advisers

Governor Biodun Oyebanji has announced the dissolution of the State Executive Council, effective immediately.
The development was announced in a statement signed by the secretary to the state government, Habibat Adubiaro, on Monday.
The statement directed the relieved commissioners and special advisers to hand over to the permanent secretary or the most senior civil servant in their respective ministries, departments, and agencies.
Mr Oyebanji thanked the sacked commissioners and special advisers and wished them success in their future endeavours.
The dissolution, however, does not affect the attorney general, health, education, works, agriculture, and trade commissioners. Also exempt are the special advisers on special education and social inclusion, as well as lands, survey, and e-GIS.
“All directors-general who are members of the State Executive Council are to retain their positions.
“These are the director-general of the Office of Transformation and Service Delivery; director-general of SDGs and Project Monitoring; and director-general of Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP),” the statement said.
