Weeks after President Bola Tinubu promised each member of Super Falcons member $100,000- and three-bedroom flat, Captain of the team, Rasheedat Ajibade, said the promises have not been fulfilled.

Ms Ajibade disclosed this during an interview with Chude Jideonwo. A snippet of the interview went viral on Thursday.

Asked whether the $100,000 promise by the President has been fulfilled, Ms Ajibade said the team had not received anything from Mr Tinubu.

“We have not received our money, but hopefully, it will be paid. They have not paid, all the promises, we have not received anything,” Ms Ajibade, who led the team to victory in Morocco said.

Following Super Falcons 10th historic Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) victory in Morocco in July, Mr Tinubu conferred the team members with national honour, promising each player $100,000 and three-bedroom flat. Each member of the technical crew was also to receive half of the money.
