Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to transforming citizens’ lives through strategic investments in education and healthcare.
Mr Soludo made the commitment on Saturday during the inauguration of the Enugu-Otu Aguleri General Hospital in the Anambra East Local Government Area.
The governor also inspected an ongoing road project and inaugurated a primary school built by the community and donated to the state government.
He said education and healthcare remain central to his efforts, stressing that no society can progress without an educated population and a healthy workforce.
Mr Soludo recalled being distressed at the start of his tenure, as residents travelled long distances to access healthcare due to the community’s neglect.
He said his promise to the people has now been fulfilled with a hospital, school, improved water scheme, and an access road delivered to the community.
“Our commitment remains: ‘One State, One People, and One Agenda,’ where no one is left behind,” the governor said.
Ifeanyi Chinweze, the chairman of Anambra East LGA, noted that vehicles could not access the community during the rainy season before the new road construction.
Mr Chinweze thanked the governor for linking Aguleri Mainland and Aguleri Island and pledged the communities’ continued support for the administration.
