The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Jigawa, has charged promoted officers of the corps to show greater commitment and dedication to duty.

The sector commander, Umar Mas’udu, said this on Sunday in a statement by the spokesman of the corps, Yahaya Ibrahim.

Mr Mas’udu, who spoke while decorating the elevated officers, said the gesture was sequel to the directive by the FRSC Corps Marshal, Shehu Mohammed.

He said promotion comes with added responsibilities and underscored the importance of professionalism, discipline and integrity.

The commander tasked the promoted personnel to uphold the core values of the corps while discharging their duties.

“Every elevation comes with greater authority, responsibility and opportunity that demands greater accountability.

“Therefore, you should learn and understand your new roles and work towards improving your commitment and dedication to duty.

“You shoul consider your promotions as part of the Corps Marshal’s policy thrust, urging you to work hard and be more productive, ” he said.

He commended the corps marshal for the implementation of viable development programmes including personnel welfare improvement scheme.

The promoted officers included nine deputy route commanders (DRCs), assistant corps commanders (ACCs) and 24 marshals.
