Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has congratulated two distinguished Kano-born lawyers, Aminu Gadanya and Abdulkarim Maude, on their elevation to the rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN).

In a statement, the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature, said the investiture took place on Monday at the Supreme Court in Abuja.

Mr Yusuf’s Special Adviser on Justice and Constitutional Matters, Aminu Hussain, represented him at the event and conveyed the governor’s goodwill message to the new SANs.

The governor described the honour as a testament to Kano’s growing excellence in the legal profession.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to producing more accomplished lawyers.

Mr Yusuf stated that the establishment of the Faculty of Law at the North-West University, Kano, positioned the state to compete favourably in legal education and practice.

Mr Yusuf also pledged his government’s continued support for young lawyers in the state to help them attain the highest professional heights and bring pride to Kano.
