Kano governor receives multiple awards for strides in education

The awards were presented to the governor at the 32nd Executive Council Meeting.

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has received multiple awards in recognition of his administration’s efforts in promoting education in the state.

This is contained in a statement issued by his Press Secretary, Mustapha Mohammed, in Kano on Saturday.

The Colleges of Education Academic Staff Union (COEASU) also lauded the governor for reverting Sa’adatu Rimi College of Education to its original status.

The awards were presented to the governor at the 32nd Executive Council Meeting.

The awards included the Joint Negotiation Council’s (JNC) Award, Education Merit Award by Students of Army Day Secondary School (Boys), Bukavu Barracks.

The rest were awards of Excellence by the Local Government Information Officers Forum of Nigeria, Federation of Cooperative Society Award and the African Public Relations Association (APRA) Award.

Secretary of the union, Dr Hussaini Yahata, praised the governor’s commitment to educational development, describing it as “amazing.”
