Mexico players return Rolex watches gifted by YouTuber Stevewilldoit

Mexico’s National team has returned Rolex watches gifted to the team by YouTube creator Stevewiildot.
The team confirmed the decision on Friday via its official X handle that the Rolex watches have been returned “by mutual agreement,” clarifying that the YouTuber’s gifts were given “on his own initiative.”
The decision follows FIFA’s Code of Ethics, specifically Article 21, which prohibits players and staff from accepting gifts except those of “symbolic or trivial value.”
The offence is punishable by a maximum ban of two years alongside a $12,500 fine.
The American streamer and content creator Stephen Deleonardis, popularly known as Stevewiildot, presented the players and officials with Rolex watches before Mexico’s two-nil victory against Ecuador in the Round of 32 on Monday.
The value of the total collection presented to the national team was reportedly valued at one million dollars.
Mexico will face England in the last 16 in Mexico City on Monday, as they seek to reach the World quarter-finals for the first time in 40 years.
