Court convicts Ukasha Sani for defaming Abba Lawal

Following the conclusion of legal proceedings before the magistrate court, Bauchi, under Case No. CMC/BH/1047, the court, on 16th September 2025, convicted Mr Ukasha Mohammed Sani on the charge of defamation of character.

The conviction confirms that the false statements and publications made by Mr Ukasha Mohammed Sani against Mr Abba Lawal, a respected businessman in the oil and gas sector with operations in Nigeria and the United States, were entirely false and malicious.

This judgment serves as a formal vindication of Mr Lawal’s name and reputation. The court, by its enrolled order of conviction, affirmed that Mr Lawal had no involvement in the misleading materials circulated on social media or any related platforms.
