Court convicts Ukasha Sani for defaming Abba Lawal

Following the conclusion of legal proceedings before the magistrate court, Bauchi, under Case No. CMC/BH/1047, the court, on 16th September 2025, convicted Mr Ukasha Mohammed Sani on the charge of defamation of character.
The conviction confirms that the false statements and publications made by Mr Ukasha Mohammed Sani against Mr Abba Lawal, a respected businessman in the oil and gas sector with operations in Nigeria and the United States, were entirely false and malicious.

This judgment serves as a formal vindication of Mr Lawal’s name and reputation. The court, by its enrolled order of conviction, affirmed that Mr Lawal had no involvement in the misleading materials circulated on social media or any related platforms.
Mr Lawal expresses appreciation to the Nigerian justice system for upholding the truth and protecting the integrity of law-abiding citizens. He remains committed to conducting his business with honesty, transparency, and respect for legal institutions.
The public is hereby advised to disregard any false or defamatory information previously circulated about him, as the matter has been conclusively determined by a court of competent jurisdiction.
