Traffic Alert: FRSC announces temporary diversion on Kaduna-Zaria expressway

The Federal Road Safety Corps has urged motorists plying the Kaduna-Zaria expressway to note that there would be a temporary diversion of traffic at KM49 Gwaranza Village along the route.
The sector commander in Kaduna, Tijjani Iliyasu, announced in a statement on Saturday in Kaduna.
Mr Iliyasu said, “This is to notify the motoring public, particularly motorists that ply the Kaduna-Zaria route, that there will be a temporary diversion of traffic at KM 49 Gwaranza Village along the Kaduna-Zaria expressway.
“This is to enable authorities to carry out work on the construction of an overpass at KM49 Gwaranza village as part of the ongoing Kaduna-Kano standard Gauge Rail line Project.”
According to him, the diversion of traffic will begin on November 1 and will remain in effect until further notice.
“Therefore, motorists are urged to obey traffic signs and cooperate with personnel on duty.
“Motorists are also urged to reduce speed and drive with extreme caution when approaching the location,” he advised.
Mr Iliyasu added that in the event of an emergency, motorists should call the FRSC toll-free line at 122 or 09139601839.
