Gov Bago dissolves Niger SUBEB board

Governor Umaru Bago of Niger has approved the immediate dissolution of the Niger State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB), including the office of the board’s secretary.
This is contained in a statement on Friday in Minna by the secretary to the state government (SSG), Abubakar Usman.
The governor stated that the dissolution was part of the administration’s ongoing efforts to reposition and strengthen the education sector for greater efficiency, accountability, and improved service delivery.
He also directed all members of the dissolved board, including the secretary, to hand over all official documents, assets, and responsibilities to the permanent secretary, Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.
Mr Bago appreciated the outgoing board members and the secretary for their service and contributions to the development of basic education in the state.
